Young Bucs League

The Young Bucs League is an internal league that is available for boys (4th through 6th grade) and girls (5th and 6th grade).  4th through 6th grade boys play November through mid-December.  5th and 6th grade girls play early January through February.  All games are played in Grand Haven.

The process begins with an Evaluation Day where player skills are evaluated.  Immediately following evaluation, a draft is conducted and 8 to 10 player teams are formed based on participation level, grade, and/or player ability.  Some players may not be drafted because of their current skill level.

Players must register and pay for the Young Bucs League through the Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority (NORA) to participate in the Evaluation Day.  If a player is not drafted, their player fee will be refunded by NORA.  EVALUATION DAY PARTICIPATION IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 50 REGISTERED PLAYERS PER GRADE.

Both leagues includes 7 practices and 8 weekend games.  The last weekend includes a Saturday/Sunday tournament among the teams, and a champion team is crowned for each division.  Coaches are typically provided by B Cubed, but qualified parents may also coach a team.  Games are officiated by MHSAA officials to help provide the best play.
